It's not something that's gonna happen over night and will only be in some songs that absolutely need a second guitar. I really do love the freedom of just being a singer but we're gonna really branch out for the next album/coming year and introduce all sorts of shit: a second guitar, percussion, electronic shit, keyboards and God knows what else.

...and God knows what else. he does, you know. the songs we have written to date were specificly written for one guitar, but sometimes I miss having a second guitar in the band. occasionally it can be nice to have a rhythm guitar playing during a solo, or to have two guitars playing a riff in harmony. when we first started jamming together as a four-peice we had a few tunes where both Gavin and I played guitar, (including a full rock version of Beethoven's 5th) at the time though, it was too much hassle setting up a second guitar amp etc as we were only playing 20min support slots with little or no soundcheck. hopefully now when we play full length sets of an hour or more we will have the opportunity to experement with different instrumentation. t'will be deggley, I tells ya

Haha, Gavin playing guitar I can actually play guitar...just choose not to in MGS at the moment. When I first joined Fingermouse (as the lads were then known) I was jumping drums, guitar and vocals all in one set. I was pretty shit all three but hey... Well you're damn good at drums from what I drunkenly (and stonededly, after Conall's apartment ;D) remember!

the guitarist in my band uses a original 1950's tele tis beautiful ! well if you really want a collector's item try this one out for size... the 1951 Fender 'nocaster' at the time Fender ran into copyright difficulty with the name Telecaster so for that year only the guitar was released with no name on it. (so it was nicknamed the nocaster) they sorted out the problem after that so the 1951 Nocaster is a pretty rare and valuable guitar. me want one. So, does the lack of actually saying 'Telecaster' on the head make it somehow a better sounding guitar?

no its just fuckin rare...but the older guitars sound better alot of the time yno.
i read about that b4....theres only one prob with the nocaster...while it looks cool...palm muting is impossible (with the ash tray lid on)

though i doubt you'd play too many songs on a nocaster which require palm muting
people thing that all those guitars back from the 60's 70's etc are perfectly made and handcrafted but they are made pretty shit with shit materials, better technology these days etc
