Cúán plays a Les Paul Studio now I believe. this is the one he used to have... til he sold it to John... who is now selling it again... it's not quite the same as it has one Humbucker rather than two single coils. it would sound more like the schecter than the fender telecaster (even though it's also a fender)

I feel all weird being in this forum, but hey I'm gonna ask a question anyway. Dear Sean, I'm gonna buy myself a Fender Telecaster while we're in the States and while I know you, Conall, Ciaran and many more knowlegable guitar buffs will no doubt be with me when I purchase, I was just looking for some pointers. I had a quick look on the Fender site and quite like the Telecaster Custom. But I know fuck all about guitars and shit so maybe you could steer me in the right direction as in what might be right for me etc. We might introduce a second guitar into the MGS set up inthe future and I figure a more high end sounding guitar like the telecaster would compliment Conall's mid/low end schecter tones. What say you? Thanks dude. Haha, Gavin playing guitar Telecasters are fucking sexy though. I don't play guitar so thats all I can say. But seriously, if I was Log..

I've always loved tele's over strats, the f hole thinline being my fave. a usa tele is the only way to go, and dont discount the g&l either, they are regarded as a refinement to the already classic design, tweaking here and there while not fucking with it too much. anyway....i'll be there when you buy it, so i'll be sure to try it out..... i'd recommend a humbucker in the bridge though.

Haha, Gavin playing guitar I can actually play guitar...just choose not to in MGS at the moment. When I first joined Fingermouse (as the lads were then known) I was jumping drums, guitar and vocals all in one set. I was pretty shit all three but hey...

I look forward to hearing a two guitar MGS set in the future! Velllly intelesting. Good choice of a tele... Black Francis stylee.
As for that silver tele it was a nice ax, and looked deadly - it was just made for one sound though... so i sold it.

the guitarist in my band uses a original 1950's tele tis beautiful ! well if you really want a collector's item try this one out for size... the 1951 Fender 'nocaster' at the time Fender ran into copyright difficulty with the name Telecaster so for that year only the guitar was released with no name on it. (so it was nicknamed the nocaster) they sorted out the problem after that so the 1951 Nocaster is a pretty rare and valuable guitar. me want one.
