Schecter.. nice cosmetics... cool sound ( as heard at MGS gigs) and above all... NO FUCKIN' FLOATING TREM.... i can't take it anymore.. does anyone wish to purchase a pretty cool Ibanez RG 470 ( real nice finish.. although paint is a bit wrecked) for DIRT CHEAP. I nearly have a nervous breakdown at every gig...
Sorry dudes, not advertising.. but you one wise muthafucka Mr Connall... floating trems are evil... sooo evil.

floating trems are evil... sooo evil. they can be a bitch all right. the only thing they're good for are those Dimebag-esque divebombs and shit... but they make the guitar a fucker to tune. and if you break a string the sudden loss of pressure will throw every other string way off tune, so much for playing on regardless.

Dude.. i play this weird lead during the first song at every gig.. and it finishes on a 3 step bend ( with a little help from the floating trem) and every fuckin' time the b string snaps... it has for the past 3 or 4 shows. Imagine the stress when i'm playing that part now.... So i end having to play like a big pussy so i dont break it. It might also come from the fact i've recently opted for 13 gauge strings... they can't stand the tension, i guess. back to 12's, so. RAW!!!!

Ehhhh.... The string breaking on a floating trem at the first song of your gig would be a FAIRLY big problem duder...
Lots of people dont know this, but you can take your guitar to a shop and have the trem 'fixed' in place.... which means that you can tune differently, stay in tune during bends, change strings easily, intonate easily etc etc etc without having to buy a new guitar!

Do you wanna know how to fix a floating trem in place?
1. Take off the trem cavity cover. 2. Place the guitar on the table with the neck pointing to your left. 3. See the gap between the sustain block and the body of the guitar? Shove something tightly in there. 4. Loosen the springs. The trem shouldn't move at all. If it did, you need something thicker stuck in there. 5. Remove the springs. 6. Jam something in the other small gap. 7. Reinstall the springs and tighten the bejaysus out of them. 8. Put the trem cover back on.
That's a really bad guide to how to do it but it's how it's done. It's called blocking the trem.

Well, i wasn't aware. Anyway, fixed bridges seem to deliver a much fuller tone... floyds always create a real thinny..flat sound. I've made up my mind.. i'm getting my fixed!( first!!)
I'm liking the new Washburn Idol series a lot. I think i might just treat myself to one.

TBH, if I'd a bit of cash floating about the place, I'd take that 470 off your hands. I likes me floating bridges I do.

I'm liking the new Washburn Idol series a lot. I think i might just treat myself to one. yeah, it's a pretty sweet guitar all right. they usually have one or two in Music Maker. I kinda wanted one for a while... then I saw Lluther play. all three of them use the same coloured Washburn Idol. I'll stick with the Schecter so

Well, Young Paul O'...... i might still have it in a few weeks. I'm thinking of selling it for ~200 euros. ( get your bro to pay for it !!!).. It's not in Perfect condition, obviously. I think i snapped the screws holding the neck and mid pick-ups by bashing them repeatedly while playing...
