Lethargic lager louts mike got spiked will return to Cork City this Friday night for their first ever outing at the city's Cyprus Avenue club.
The quartet haven't been Lee-side since last April and are looking forward to meeting and greeting the locals, who have always been more than hospitable.
Cork's own The Berries will be the main support on the night while recently signed Dublin outfit StoneOcean will open the night's proceedings.
So be sure to get in early. The night is sure to rock and all bands are intent on putting on a memorable show.
Doors open at 9 p.m. Admission tbc.

I met a dude at the Republic of Loose at the same venue the other night who said he was bringing 15 people to this. I hope he wasn't lying!
Can't fucking wait.

Indeed, the first couple of songs were a bit ropey but from Speechless onwards the gig was fucking savage. Love the fact that the four new tunes are very diverse; First Glimpse is probably the heaviest thing MGS have ever done, CD and FFTL are groovy as fuck and as for O Silence - I didnt like it at first but it's now one of my favourite MGS tunes. A real grower with a fucking great chorus.
Pity about the turnout but I guess twas predictable what with the short notice of the gig and lack of advertising. Nonetheless, great show, great night afterwards, Dunbar Street hopes to see ye again soon!

Yeah we did start a bit poorly but after two songs I think we got back on form. Was a really fun gig to play, we talked so much fucking shit it was unreal; still I guess you just adapt to the situation. We played every song we have and more so that was cool.
Huge thank you to The Berries who supported us. Great guys and a real good band as well. To Alan Good for writing yet another cool article for us and of course to all his household for letting us stay the night and giving us such lovely cleavage to stare at for the duration. Life is good indeed.
The drive home yesterday was a fucking nightmare. I had my dad's car and fucking let us down so the drive didn't take four hours as expected but more like eight. That sucked.
Still the gig was fun and we will be back asap. Probably the new year at this stage but you never know. And I must say Cyprus Avenue is a real cool venue with a great backstage area.
